The Sigma 18-35mm f/ane.viii DC HSM 'Art' (Sigma part# 210-306) is an ultra bright standard zoom lens for Nikon F Mountain digital SLRS with DX format sensors.

Truly a revolutionary product, the Sigma 18-35mm one.8 DC HSM is the first wide-angle to standard zoom lens to reach a large discontinuity of f/1.8.  It's designed specifically for DX format sensors.  On Nikon DX format the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 is equivalent to what a 27mm-52.5mm lens would produce on on a 35mm sized camera.  The 18-35mm's wide to normal field of view makes it a perfect general purpose standard lens platonic for anything including distant landscapes, casual snap shots, or fifty-fifty shut-ups.  The ultra brilliant f/1.8 maximum aperture stays constant through the entire zoom range; it makes the lens much easier to see through than other zooms while also offering incredible flexibility to shoot in dim available lighting or blur backgrounds.

Global Vision Art lenses prioritize maximizing capabilities such as image quality and light gathering ability over conveniences such equally compactness or zoom range so photographers can take artistic expression to the side by side level.  Tapping into Sigma's long history of lens innovations, the the eighteen-35mm one.8 DC HSM's 17 element 12 group optical design uses five SLD elements and four Aspherical elements to compensate for aberrations and curvature.  The ix blade diaphragm is as well rounded for beautiful background blur.
